Brief Description: Primed Remaining Parts in Sec 21
Lightly scuffed remaining parts in section 21 with Scotch Brite, cleaned with Acetone, and primed. Also primed upper end of steps that will be visible on the forward end of the step floor.
Noticed that the flaperon mixer assembly is a little loose after installing the fuselage bottom skin. Instructions on page 21-04 during flaperon mixer assembly says to torque the bolt enough to remove any slop or play, but still allow freedom of rotation. The assembly was a bit tight but loosened up after installing the bottom fuselage skin. Need to get an email to Van's and see if this intentional or if I need to tighten up the bolt.
After many reviews of the lower forward fuselage assembly in Section 22, still have alot of questions so decided to cleco the major components together and then re-reviewed the instructions. Most questions answered and made much more sense. This section should be more straightforward than before trial assembly.
