Brief Description:  Completed Installed F-1203S Bulkead

Successfully installed control column mount bearing so they didn't bind (page 21-10, step 3). Looked for help on the various posts but not a lot of help. The machine countersunk holes in the mount brackets were touched up to ensure that they were straight in case the angle of the rivet was causing the binding. This was done at the drill press. Also, used the Dremel tool and very lightly hit the recess areas of the brackets to remove the primer. After reassembling and riveting the assembly, the bearing turns freely. Whew! Was worried that I would lose most of the 4 day weekend waiting on new parts.

Riveted the control coumn mount assemblies to the aft side of the F-1203A bulkhead. Not sure how in the world anyone could install the AN426AD3-4.5 rivets through the MS21051-L08 nutplates with the sloping flange of the mount bracket in the way. I tried numerous methods with no success. Decided to cheat and secure the nutplates with CCR264SS-3-2 pop rivets. Also riveted (the right way) the nutplates on the sloping flanges of the mount brackets (page 21-11, steps 4 and 5).

Installed and riveted the F-1203A bulkhead assembly to the F-1215-L & -R seat ribs (page 21-13, steps 1 and 2).

Removed powder coating from holes in WD-1210 control column and inserted through lightning holes into position (page 21-13, steps 8 and 9).

Secured WD-1210 control column to the control column mount assemblies (page 12-14, step 1).
