Brief Description: Control Column Bearing Binding

While sandwiching the control column bearing between the mount spacer and mount brackets, noticed that the bearing was binding. Drilled out all four bearing rivets, cleaned up the rivets holes and recesses in the mount brackets, and tried to rivet again. Same problem. Need to figure out what's going on.
Giving up for the night.
Couldn't stay away for the night so I'm back. Riveted the F-1203B-L & -R bulkhead flanges to the F-1203A bulkhead. Riveted the holes securing the F-1203C stub spar receptacles and F-1203D-L & -R stub spar receptacle supports to the F-1203A bulkhead (page 21-10, steps 8, 9, and 10).
Riveted the F-1203E-L & -R bulkhead doublers to the F-1203C stub spar receptacles, F-1203D-L & -R stub spar receptacle supports, and F-1203A bulkhead (page 21-11, steps 2 and 3).
Riveted the 17 nutplates to the F-1203A bulkhead. Also, riveted the F-1203J bulkhead doublers to the F-1203A bulkhead (page 21-12, steps 1 and 2).
