Brief Description:  Riveted Baggage Ribs, Floor, and Bulkhead

Heard back from Van's Technical Support on the bad rivet hole (see 8/22/11 entry). Here's the response from Ken:
"Best to just leave this alone. You could drill up to a 3/16" but it's awkward and the chance of making things worse is quite real. The lesson here is don't drill out rivets just to replace rivets, especially in really thick metal. Even an imperfect rivet is doing the job, and the cure is usually worse than the illness."
The plan is to get a bit of primer in the hole for corrosion protection and press on.

Riveted baggage ribs to aft center section bulkhead with manufactured head of rivets on forward side of bulkhead. Was able to swivel head 90 degrees on the pop rivet hand squeezer and et to all of the rivets. Very tight but doable. Riveted baggage floor to ribs (page 21-02, step 4).
Riveted nutplates along inner edge of each baggage floor (page 21-02, step 5)
Built F-1206A bulkhead by riveting rear spar receptacles and supports as well as the two nutplates (page 21-02, step 8).
Assembled bearing bracket assemblies. Bearing are nice and free after riveting (page 21-02, step 14).
Page 21-02 is complete.

Riveted the F-1206A bulkhead and F-1206G and H baggage ribs to the baggage floor assembly. (page 21-03, steps 1 and 2).
