Brief Description: Match Drilled Aft Bulkhead to Center Section
Fuselage kit build started tonight. Still deciding on what primer to use so no riveting parts together until parts are primed. Accomplished match drilling of center section aft bulkhead F-1204D to the center section F-1204 (page 20-02, step 4 and page 20-03, steps 1 through 3). While match drilling the aft bulkhead F-1204D to the center section F-1204, the bulkhead was slightly misaligned. Step 4 on page 20-02 inserts AN4 bolts into F-1204D and bolts align with the bottom flange of F-1204. During step 2 on page 20-03, when loosening the clamps, the bolt on the left side had a slight slant to it and I didn’t notice until most of the holes where match drilled. The result is about an 1/8-inch difference between the upper left hole and the upper edge, and the upper right hole and the upper edge.
