The oval cutout for the right wing extensionW-1222-R is not going to work. Here's a history of what was done and is also what was sent to Van's asking for guidance: 1. Initially cut oval on scribe line but tip rib partially blocked the opening and Molex connector would not fit through the opening. 2. Thought I would outsmart the design and closed up the oval with Flox and cut another hole below the bracket. That seemed like a good way to go until trying to trial fit the Nav/strobe light. 3. Verified that the holes drilled for the extension into the wing tip rib are centered on the rib. 4. The wiring coming from the Nav/Strobe light is above the bracket and there's no way to get the wires to the new oval below the bracket without damaging them. Closed the other oval tonight with flox and awaiting guidance from Van's on what to do next.
