Brief Description:  Completed Pitch Trim/Servo Assembly

Bought #27 drill bit, then match drilled doublers to pitch trim servo (page 11-06, step 5).

Lightly buffed trim/servo parts with Scotch-Brite pad, cleaned with Acetone, and primed.

Riveted nutplate and doubler plates to servo tray. Installed servo and doublers on tray and secured with called out hardware (page 11-06, steps 2, 3, 4, and 6).

Installed polymer bushing into link and only one leg of servo tray. Link bushing filed to less than specified 3/16-inch width. One of the bushings was broken earlier and don't have another one for the other servo tray leg so tray bushings will have to wait to be installed and filed to size. Parts ordered from Van's. Also installed trim servo wire snap bushing into tray (page 11-06, steps 8, 9, part of 10, and 11). Will tackle wiring another day.

Attached clevis plates, clevis rod, and link using called out hardware. Match drilled holes in clevis plate to pushrod. Match drilled threaded insert into end of pushrod. Riveted pushrod to clevis plates and threaded insert to pushrod. Installed jamnut and rod end bearing and adjusted so 16-11/16 iinch dimension was acheived. Connected trim servo shaft to jamnut and clevis rod. (page 11-07, steps 1 through 7).

Steps to finish pitch trim/servo assembly include polymer bushings in tray legs and crimp connectors to trim wiring.
