Brief Description: Spar Box Assembly and Drilled Counterbalance
A good evening after being out of town for over a week. Riveted the spar caps, inspar ribs, and spacer caps together and clecoed forward and rear spars to build the spar box assembly (page 09-03, steps 1 through 3). Attached and final drilled upper and lower control horns (page 09-03, steps 4 and 5). Did notice that there's a small gap between the control horns and rear spar (0.020 inch on upper control horn and 0.060 inch on lower control horn). Have read on posts that this is common and that shims can be used to take up the gap. Still need to do that. Final drilled holes in counterbalance arm and both brackets (page 09-03, steps 6 through 10). Page 09-03 is complete.
