- Mike sanded top side micro - We measured tips and ribs on both sides of stab and found: -- left side is approx. 1/4" wider (at BL 40 & BL44) than right side - We also found and area on the right side that seems higher/thicker at BL40 than left side. - We're contemplating adding thickness to right side (thin side) from BL30 to the tip in an effort to make it the same thickness/width as the left; HOWEVER, we need to know how thick the ELEVATOR will be at the point where it meets flush with the tips. -- We looked in the plans and found that there's REALLY NOT a good reference for the width of the elevator at these points! -- The plans direct you to fashion the elevator using the same method as the vertical stab...so, -- Since we haven't built the vertical stab yet...we don't know how wide is should be at these points. (The plans refer to a BL on the VERTICAL STAB...but don't provide any templates for the ribs... - So we've essentially stopped work until the next time Rick returns home from Florida (he leaves for Tampa tomorrow and doesn't know when he'll be returning.
