Spent the day dimpling the various components that make up the elevators. Parts included tip ribs, shear clips and rib halves. Also performed the countersinking of the 29 holes of the top flange of the front spar where the elevator hinge will eventually sit.
These steps completed the preparation of the elevator components prior to priming.
After the elevator parts were ready for priming I moved on to the trim tabs. I wanted to have a single long priming session for all elevator components vs two or three. I created the clamping blocks in step one of page 9-16 and glued the paper templates to the foam blocks for step 2.
