Started the day completing the dimple of the skins followed by priming the skins.
Started assembling the stringers/stringer web and inboard spars. After riveting I realized I had the stringers incorrect and had to drill out 16 rivets to swap the stringer assemblies on the spar.
Started assembly of the HS by installing the inspar ribs to the front spar.
Placed the skins back in the cradles and installed all eight leading edge ribs to the skins, then used the pop rivets and attached to the front spar.
When I installed the stringer assembly to the skins I realized I missed countersinking the stringers to accept the skins. Had to pull it back apart (only clecos this time) and completed the task.
Once the front ribs were riveted to the skin and the front spar along with the inspar ribs to the front spar I started riveting the skin to the front spar flange. Completed about half of the rivets.
Was happy with the rivets were turning out. Took my time to tape each rivet with the clear packing tape. This helped to hold the rivet in place but also protects the skins from the marring I saw on the VS. Moved to using the mushroom without the rubber part and found I had much more control.
