After completing the proseal on the rudder yesterday I moved on to the HS while waiting for the proseal to cure.
Drilled, deburr, primed and riveted the rear spar, rear spar doubler and hinge brackets. Completing these steps, along with step 1 of page 8-3 (rivet the flange bearing) almost completes the rear spar.
Just need to torque the bolts holding the flange bearing to the rear spar. However, discovered I did not have a small enough torque wrench or torque paint. Ordered both from aircraft spruce. Completed the torque on 7/27.
