Brief Description:  Flight 94 - from Copperstate

0.5 flight time, 1 landing. I think I blew the departure procedure. I called on the parking frequency "ready to taxi", no reply. So I just waited until it was clear (watched 1 plane go by) then followed him out. Called tower at the end "ready for departure", and they cleared me off, no big deal. On re-reading the NOTAM, I see I was supposed to use a "ground" frequency to leave instead of the parking frequency. If it was that important, someone on "parking" could have told me. Anyway, I got back. Saw the Tri-motor in the air below me. Engine was stumbling a little - maybe I still have too much fuel tube FWF getting hot. I have a plan to rebuild it - just need to get it done. I finally went to some of the forums I'd been curious about for the last few years - Corvair Engines, Fabric Covering, Composites, and Jabiru Engines, and I also sat in on a little bit from the Az Pilot's Assoc. Fabric - I probably can't do that as the fumes gave me a headache. Composites seem quite time consuming, though the Lightning kit seems to be just joining things not real "construction" of composites. Jabiru was interesting because all but 2 or 3 of the 20 or so people in the forum already have Jabiru engines. So he spoke to details about cooling, installations, configuration differences, fuel supply, and operation much more than history or "what is a Jabiru".

Rotated view - but do props like this really work? Seems like the tips are just there to make noise.

So the one doesn't have smoke. Still pretty cool.
