Brief Description:  Flight 82 - P08 and return

0.9 total time, 2 landings. First flight with the fully-faired gear in place. It seems to accelerate a little quicker when pushing over to a descent, and it must go a little quicker for the same power level. Saw 170 indicated in 200-300 fpm descent when the engine was at about 2880 in level flight, and it sped up to 3000 in this descent. Slight rain at Coolidge. About 0.2 of the flight was taxi out and taxi back, so the round trip was 0.7, about 38 nm each way. Will figure out fuel burn when I refuel. Indicating about 7 on board after flight, but that also included going to Eloy & back + Friday's 0.5 short flight. So about 9 gal in 2.3 hr = 3.9 gph, but about 0.6 of that is taxi time. Guesstimating 1.5 gph for the taxi time, that leaves 8.1 gal in 1.7 hr = 4.8 gph, a more believable number for cruise.
