Brief Description:  Flight 38

0.8 flight time. Did cruise flight at 2850 rpm and 5500-6000 MSL. Then slowed down for one power off, no flaps stall. I held it up until a distinct break occurred, and it was distinct. Right wing dropped off. Fortunately my natural reaction was left rudder pedal to the floor, caught the wing and recovered. Returned to the airport and did 3 trips around the pattern before stopping. They say patterns are good for breaking in the engine, so I'm trying to get more of those in. Conversely, long periods of constant-power flight do less good at breaking in the engine. Now that the front two CHT's are well under control and exactly balanced, I may move the CHT sensors back to see what's going on in the middle and rear cylinders. I will need to cut the head fins to fit the sensors on these cylinders.
