Reworked the intercom harness into a crimp-on 25-pin connector. This was only about $3 at Radio Shack. Much quicker and easier, and the wires come straight out so it was easy to fit into the shell. Spent about 2 hours working on the encoder connections. Had to figure out what the correct orientation is (it's printed on the circuit card inside the transponder), then used the book that came with the encoder to figure out what lines in the encoder harness connected to what pins on the transponder connector.
