Brief Description:  Seat installation

Spent about 1/2 hour to lay out the seat per the lowered seat mod instructions. Recalled others said dimensions were off this way & that, but went ahead and cut it. Only made 2 changes - the center opening for the pushrod and seatbelts made 2" wide to clear the seat belt brackets. Probably will need to add another 3/8 to 1/2" per side for the actual belts themselves (as seen on a Waiex website - the opening is wider only at the belts). And the 2nd mod was to bend the forward edge down about 20 degrees instead of the 11 called out to let it sit tighter to the spar box. Since the aft edge goes down, there has to be more bend to bring the front edge down. Then at the upper aft edge of the seat, it looked like it was maybe 1/2" shorter than where the plans show the hinge going, but no big deal, I just drilled it where it fell out. So the seat bottom is about 1 1/4" lower than the non-lowered design. Took about 1/2 hour to cut the openings in the seat, another hour to bend it by clamping to the table edge and hammering plus drill the hinges to it, then another 1 1/2 hours of drilling the seat to the fuselage. I got the upper aft and lower forward hinges 1/2 drilled to final size. Still have to drill the lower aft hinge from inside the tail cone forwards.
