Byron and Don met me out at the hangar and helped install the wings. Right wing - got it all but 1/4" in, then noticed it was hung up on the right side lap belt bolt. Lifted the aft edge to clear that and it made it the rest of the way in. Put the guide pins in at the main spar, and by then Don had arrived to help with the left wing. That went in about half way before getting bound up. So we pulled it back out and restarted, checking the angle to the fuselage better (wingtip fore & aft). Got it all the way in and pinned. Put the 1/4" alignment pins in the spar-to-spar holes, then pulled out the left main spar pin. Put the bolt in there from aft to front. Not enough space for a washer on the forwards side, so pulled it back out, put 2 washers against the bolt head and ran it back in. Did the same on the right side. Pulled the alignment pins out of the spar. Found the 1/4" bolts for the aft spar and ran those in. Put the bolts in for the ailerons - will need some more washers here. Don helped hold the flaps up to get the flaps bolt in. Much easier with the web cut out between the lightening holes in the rib. Rolled it out and ran the engine for Don and nephew Ethan who was there visiting.
