Brief Description:  Aft spar

Spent about 1 hour fitting the W13-03 radius blocks to the LH spar. These are called out with a 1/8" radius to fit into angle stock that is about 1/4" radius, so they don't fit (this is one place where the plans don't depict reality). Have to spend time sanding/filing to a larger radius. Spent about 1/2 hour fitting all the fasteners into the LH spar, so it's done. Noticed that the root rib attach angle bolts are drilled - it's called out on the print that way, so that's what Wicks sends in the hardware kit. Consider them lightening holes. Spent the last 1/2 hour or so drilling details to the RH aft spar. Rebent the root rib attach angle in the vise - it was not sitting flat on the spar, but reworking it in the vise got it to sit much better. Noticed that the 3/16" plate at the root sits on the opposite (forward) side of the spar channel. This is because the left wing flies about 3/16" forward of the right wing due to spar overlap. No, there aren't tricky shorter ribs on one side to get the wing straight across, the plane just seems to work with it as is.
