Brief Description:  Firewall fitting

Pulled the firewall fitting. Turns out the open end of the 13/16 wrench needed to hold the nut on the back side just perfectly fit over the firewall square tube gusset with the box end on the nut, so I wedged the wrench there and turned the fitting on the forward side of the firewall. Drilled off the doubler plate. Drilled the doubler plate hole pattern exactly to the left of the square tube, so now there's 2 sets of firewall holes. Drilled the old gascolator bracket rivets off the firewall. Filled the rivet holes with hi-temp RTV. Removed excess old intercom wiring from under the seat. Re-did some cable ties on the behind-panel wiring. Cleaned up. Will need to make a cover plate for the old firewall fitting hole and a spacer for the new one to move the fitting forwards a little. Also measured for the new hose needed between the firewall and carb. 10" should do it.
