Drained fuel. Cut 2 tie wraps from engine mount and replaced w/ cushioned clamps. These held the battery charger cable that I had moved around a few times to find a home. Note the tie wrap did leave marks in the powder coat on the tube (after maybe 20 or 30 hours of flight). Removed the gascolator. Installed the fuel filter. WIll want clamp to support the tube at the filter inlet. Drained almost 7 gallons of fuel. May need to check calibration of "tail down" marks because it was indicating about 5. Problem with this setup - fuel filter is now a trap. Ultimately may rebuild to put fuel filter aft of firewall just past tank valve, then relocate firewall fitting to left side of center support tube, and run hose direct (downhill) from bulkhead fitting to carb. This would be shorter than current hose.
