After all that, got the repairman certificate for it. I thought I would have to go to the FSDO (Scottsdale), but they did it over the phone, through the mail, and with an email. Pretty painless, and they didn't ask to see a bunch of photos with me doing stuff. So that album I printed of all the me-doing photos - maybe you'll see it at Copperstate or Oshkosh.
