Removed the fittings from the oil cooler and cleaned the threads. I think I'll get a tap for the bosses on the cooler because these threads don't look very smooth, and on one side there's a definite "slice" in the threads - almost like the tap stopped at a point and left a chip on every other thread. Stopped at 3 different brands of auto parts store + the Ace hardware, and none had the Loctite product I was looking for.
