Brief Description:  Fuel tank - setback

At the 13th gallon of fuel level calibration, fuel was pouring out between the upper and lower firewalls, as well as running down the inside of the lower firewall and falling out the brake cable holes. So this is a leak near the top front of the tank on the left side. I stopped the fuel loss by setting the tailwheel back on the ground, then drained out about 5 gallons before going home last week. There's nothing that was drilled up there, so I don't think it's a drilling mistake, but today I started the process of pulling the tank out by draining the rest of the fuel. Takes quite a while through that fitting on the bottom of the gascolator. While waiting for this, also started taking the panel apart. I have to take the panel more or less completely off to have space to extract the tank. This also includes disconnecting and extracting the mixture cable since that not only runs under the tank, but is a constraint on removing the panel. Byron lent me some fuel containers which I brought home after filling, since there's not supposed to be more than 5 gallons outside the airplane in the hangar.
