Brief Description:  Elevator bungee

Put a bungee in under the seat for the elevator. They say to balance it at 0 to 15 degrees down. Don't know how that's supposed to work, as the bungee seems to take 3 settings depending on length - holding the elevator full up, not tight enough (elevator falls down), or the middle setting - elevator kind of stays where you put it. For it to really balance, I think it would need to be 2 strands instead of one. I hung it by tying a small loop with a bowline knot on each end, and put an S-hook in each mating part. I don't know how you would get this right with the crimp-on hook arrangement, unless you had a lot of crimp ons. Then the lowered seat pushes the bungee down farther. I saw a photo where they used a spring like the rudder springs - that may be how this one will go.
