Brief Description:  Gascolator installation

Found saddle clamps online, but no supplier (these are aerospace OEM's to the big engine manufacturers, TA and Adel Wiggins). Decided for what it's worth to just make my own saddle clamp. Made up a pattern out of .025 to get the length, then made one out of .060. Turned out a little short, so I'll probably need to make that over. But temporarily I worked out how to back that up with a piece of 1x1x.125 angle and get the bail of the bowl through it. This gives a nice meaty part to grab with a bracket from the firewall. Made up a pattern for that from .025 (way too thin). I'm not sure this is the right configuration because I would prefer to have some vertical wheelbase to the bracket rather than have all the rivets in tension. I'll probably work out something else here, but at least I have a scheme for how to get an attach feature onto the gascolator. Also need to decide the angle of the mount. A lot of people seem to just put the gasco tight to the firewall. But in a Sonex, the firewall is 30 degrees from vertical when the plane is level (in flight), and mine is a taildragger, which is something like 14 degrees tail-down when parked. I might work it so the gasco is perfectly vertical when parked, and a little off-level in flight. This is closer to vertical than the mounted direct-to-firewall concept.
