Brief Description:  Battery box

Cut out the battery box. Decided the outboard side would be removeable, so cut that out as a separate piece. Bent up the battery box. Made up the additional hinges needed for the removeable side. Drilled the battery box to the firewall. After a few clecoes were in place, put the battery in and the removeable side on to locate the holes for that. Found the hinge pieces I had made some time back for the battery hold down strap. Bent up the strap and installed the hinges. With the battery in place, located the strap over the battery. Removed all, deburred, and then reinstalled with the rivets. Slipped the battery in. Really only need to have the one side removeable since there is enough flex in the rest of it to bring the battery in from the side and above. Once the hinge pins are in place, it is nice and tight.
