Engine arrived. Only took about 2 weeks, so I guess lead time for Jabiru is down to almost nothing. Documents showed a build date of Feb. 2007. Got one of last 5 available at the old price (saved $1000). Probably a few months sooner than I needed it, but to save the price change is worth it. Comes from Jabiru "equipped" with a Sonex-specific exhaust (short 3-into-1 straight pipes) and no baffles. Baffles and install manual (and aerocarb and spinner) will come from Sonex. This one is #1276. For my 1999-2000 Sonex project, I had 3300 s/n 0069, so there's been quite a few sold in 7 years.
