Fabricated the phenolic parts for the rudder pedals and flap actuation rod. Having done it, I'm not sure why I put it off for so long. Just cut very slowly on the bandsaw. Drilled slowly on the drill press. Used a spade bit to make the large diameter holes - just went slow and kept the shop vac running and held it up near the drill bit. This sucked in the shavings and dust, and there wasn't a whole lot of aroma in the garage. Locating the 1/4" bolts for the flap blocks took a little time - I was looking for a bag of 4 bolts, but they are 2 different lengths, so it's two bags of two bolts each.
Blue tape held blocks together prior to drilling. Drilled for bolts first and installed the bolts.
Another view. I know there's still some shaping to clear the welds on the steel mating parts.
