Brief Description:  Vertical tail skin

Spent about 1/2 hour marking the entire hole pattern on the vertical tail skin. When I built this 5 years ago for Sonex #0042, I had not drilled the entire hole pattern, just the aft edges. I built the supporting frame, traced it on the inside of the skin, then laid out the hole pattern on the inside to ensure that the holes were centered on the ribs. I figure the kits are starting with the holes predrilled and I have been more accurate with this build, so I'll take a chance on having the holes already there. Took about 1/2 hour to drill the holes. Took about 1 1/2 hours to start polishing the skin. Got about half way done. Not sure about this polish the whole airplane process. So far, it seems better to polish before assembly because I can press pretty hard with the polisher and get a good shine fairly quickly. I remember trying to polish #0042 after assembly, and I couldn't get it to look as good as this.
