So all the while I was spending time working on this, I'm thinking to myself - jeez I hope this thing fits when the pins get ready to go in. I mean, I can just imagine... All the stuff I did, all the variables... and hey, this thing might not go together.
Well, the moment of truth was pulling in the second MG-4 pin. I could tell that it was a bit off, but I couldn't tell how much - and not that it would matter because there isn't anything I could do to fix it other than cut everything back apart and start over - something I didn't really relish doing.
Anyway, the fear was all for not. The pins slide right in with the help of the all-thread puller, and I buttoned it all up with the 1/8 plates on the end.
Job done - time to move on to something else. Glad this 20 hours or so is over with.
