Brief Description: Horizontal Stab Stand

After building the horizontal stab, I built this stand for it out of some scrap wood. I didn’t want to build a stand that stored it with the leading edge down. I did not trace the profile of the leading edge prior to building the stab and didn’t want to guess at it either. I was afraid of damaging the leading edge. The stab rests on the reinforced areas of the rear spar channel. It does not rest on the edge of the skin. I notched out the wood around where the skin would have come in contact with the stand and padded all sides with pipe insulation. The upright portions of the stand rest right over the location of the ribs. It worked out well.
