Riveted the trim tab servo support brackets onto the trim servo access panel. All went together well and was straight forward.
Riveted the skin onto the left elevator support structure. I don't recall it mentioning to add the daub of RTV to the skin seam in the instructions. However, I did place a daub at the appropriate places within the skin. I then used a pair of large paint stirrers and a pair of seaming pliers to lightly crimp the trailing edge flat. The upper surface of the trim tab spar were left unriveted.
I then attempted to dry fit the parts of the trim tab together only to find the rivet pitch of the spar and the skin to be WAY off. I called Van's only to find out that the skin I was using was updated to a new pitch. They are sending me a new trim tab skin with the new spacing. As well as the kit had been fitting together so far, I was worried that I was doing something wrong.
