Wasnt happy with the vinyl wrap as there was a 20mm crease next to the G5 .. barely visible, but it still bugged me!
Took it off, re-painted it the applied a new wrap... worked much better, and Ive figured out how to wrap it around tight corners.
Had to trim a bit off the edges to get it in without bending it, then it was a real struggle to get the panel far enough back to fit. Had to remove multiple cable ties and spiral wrap to get enough flexibility on the loom.
Managed to get it in, then couldnt screw in the mountin bolts on the GTN bracket... after much fiddling, got the port one in, but the starboard one is completely inaccessible under the GTN fan. decided to fit a brace bolt through to the back of the panel/baggae wall. Very stable in the end, and pleased with the result. Turned on the power and connected the GTN and GMA and transponder, but the GTN didnt recognise either!
After much head scratching and reading manuals, figured out that the bloody useless Stein wiring diagrams didnt have the RS232 connection between the GTN and GMA, and the rs232 connection to the transponder doesnt work....frustrated!
