Brief Description:  Wheel fairings..

Started to install the wheel fairings. yet again, deviating from the stock aircraft brings unforeseen problems...
Ive got Grove one piece gear, Grove axles, and Sam James wheel pants for the RV10 (600 x 6 wheels) with rocket leg fairings... what could go wrong!

Took the wheels of and checked the axle alignment... 1.75 degrees intoing on the right, and 0,85 degrees intoeing on theleft. Cant see how to correct the right side with shims as the bolts will need to bend a lot, or I'll have to overdrill the bolts a little. ordered the shims and asked Grove for advice.

Sam James advised not to use the standard rv8 mount brackets, and sent drawings for the bracket on a 10. After cutting and finishing the brackets, I realised that they dont fit the rectangular sectionRV8 legs so they were thrown away...
Mad another set, modified for the rv8 gear.
I used the medial RV8 brcket on the lateral side to give more strength. Managed to get the fairings aligned and clecoed in place.
Finished the left side by adding nutplates and priming. Fitted the right side. 3mm differnece between rear fairing height, so I can tweak it before fitting the nut plates on the right.
Must finish the Mod 3 form for the LAA...
