put the HS on to the fuselage, then the VS and started to fit the rudder,,, then the fun started! Couldnt get the hinge pins in as the bottom holes werent aligned. After taking it on and of a few times, I eventually noticd taht it wouldnt fit because the lower rudder fairing was imoinging on the tailspring! How the hell can that happen when everything was made exactlty to plan!! Back to VAF and apparently its a common problem... pity it wasnt mentioned in the instructions then! ended up cutting a piece of the lower fairing off, and will have to repair it later. Had to realign the mid and lower hinges, but all looked good. Needed to trim a little off the rear fuselage skin to stop it impinging, but in the end, all worked fine and looked good. Fitted the elevators after having rebalanced the tip weights... bith beautifully balanced... very slightly tip heavy but this will balance when the final painting is done.
