Rivetterd the rear avionics shels and attached to fuselage. Solid structure to mount ELT, MFD RSM and Garmin RSM.
Removed for priming, and painting tomorrow.
In preparation for inside painting, all nut plate holes covered to protect the thread.
Rudder cable holes drilled, deburred and snap bushings inserted.
Holes for battery cable drilled, and holes in gear tower elnlarged as per plans.
Started to plan installation of teh PFD RSM... it cant go in the wing tip (large steel bar in aileron!) and cant go inside on the avionics shelf as needs GPS signal. Too big to fit into the VS tip, so Ive put it in the starboard HS tip. Tight fit, but made a mount bracket that fits inside the fibreglass tip, with a good shield ground to the outer rib. Expanded the tooling hole to take the cable, then ran a ribbed conduit through the space between the ribs and LE using Seldinger technique.
After making a 'rough cut' version, finished off the day making the real one. Ready for installation tomorrow.
