Brief Description: Wiring and headset plug installation
More wiring today...Installed wiring to the headsets and the Bose LEMOs, as well as twisted wire feeds to the heated seats. Ran out of room in the corrugated conduits, so I decided to change them all to solid conduit fitted in between each fuselage bulkhead. Much greater internal diameter without having to make bigger holes in the structure. Obviously, I had to re-run almost every cable, but I'm glad that I did. It looks better,a nd there is much more room. Im going to add a pair of 22g, 18g and a shielded double coure cable from front to rear in case I need more later. Made a pair of stainless steel mounts for the headset cables.
Found out that the drawings supplied by Garmin are incorrect and they are being revised in the next issue of the installation manual. The autopilot won't work with the CAN bus that I've installed, but Brian at Bournemouth Avionics is sending a 507 down to me as soon as possible.
Noticed that after I removed the glareshield fibreglass, that the canopy mount fits much better, so maybe I just need to tweak the glareshield/avionics cover rather thanchange the canopy frame.
