Brief Description: Inner mud guard fabricated from fibreglass
Measured the inner profile of the rear pant halves allowing sufficient clearance for 7.00 x 6 tyres. Bent a strip of aluminium to the correct shapre, temporarily fixed inside, then the lateral edge distance measured to profile the shape of the real mud guard. Measurements transferred to an aluminium sheet, cut out and inserted. Good fit!
@ layers fibreglass cloth with edge tape reinforcement epoxied to the mudguard template and allowed to dry. Edges trimmed, and the template removed. Great fit, cloising the rear of the wheel pants completely. Tyre hole trimmed to test fit of tyre inside the construct. Looks good. Still more to trim off when the tyre is inflated. Rinning out od stuff to do until the wingas arrive in 4 weeks time.
