Brief Description:  HS skeleton assembled

Productive day!
Rivetted the HS front spar, getting loads of practice at bucking universal rivets. All assembled well, with just a few rivets changed due to small 'smileys'. I've read that this is a cosmetic problem, and that they can be left (and probably less chance of buggering things up) but I wasnt happy... so out they came.

Fitted skin reinforcements to the rudder skin; this proved to be more troublesome than anything else today despite it all being 'simple back rivetting'. Main issue was getting gun pressure right, and keeping pressure on the skin uniformly, particularly at the trailing edge. Pushing the uppermost skin out of the way bends the lower skin... probably one of those times when two pairs of hands are better than one.

Then the bit I was really concerned with... bending the leading edge. I laminated thick MDF and used four big hinges to create the bending break, and it worked well. I clecoed the lower skin to the table, bent the edge, and it all worked!
