All parts of HS cleaned and ready for painting. Decided to build a jig to hold it whilst assembling and rivetting. Another trip to B and Q for MDF! Also fitted a 'sacrificial' MDF worktop to my main work bench so that I dont have to drill into the good vinyl surface.
Started the vertical stabiliser. Instructions seem to be reduced, but it was just like the HS really. Nice to see the lightening holes already drilled for the vertical spar reinforcement. Ribs prepared, and skins attached. Another bit looking like part of an aeroplane! Pity it was only for half an hour before I match drilled everything and dismantled it all More sanding, deburring, edge prep and scotchbright. Getting late, so decided to stop before picking up the dimpler again.
