AFter the disappom=ntment of yesterday, it was time to crack on... fitted the 460 main display, the G5 (except the plumbing). the MGL compass/turn co-ordinator, the autopilot and the ipad panel mount. Ipad isnt charging so thats a job for tomorrow. Decided to tackle the transponder... Brian Cooks advice was to ignore the wiring diagram, and follow the garmin connector examples... I set up the GTN serial port 4 to talk to the transponder via RS232, but it still didnt work. Took the connector apart, and swapped the rs232 port 1 and 2 around, as garmin stste that the default transponder out to gtn should be port 1... and it worked when I turned it on again!
