Brief Description: Brake master cylinder mounting mod
Spent all day beefing up the mounting lug for the brake master cylinders. The standard fixation relies on a flimsy lug... the one bit of the whole aircraft where Ive looked at it and thought it looked inadequate. Did some web browsing and found an LAA report showing two failures of the lug... so it needed some work. Made a Delrin mounting bracket that clamps arpunfd the rudder bar,and supports the mounting lug to reduce torsion forces, and prevents catastrophic failure in the event of failure of the lug. Sent in the paperwork to the LAA
