Brief Description:  Aileron alignment and the Delrin spacer

Decided to go with the Delrin spacer mod.... small acetal bushing goes over the bolt connecting the aileron short pushrod to the aileron hinge bracket, and this retricts UPWARD aileron travel to the limited amount defined by Van's range (25 to 32 degrees up from neutral point, 15-17 degress down from neutral point).
This meant constructing a bushing from a piece of acetal rod, inserting a central aluminium spacer, the test to fit.
The aileron reference line connects the two central tooling holes in the outer ribs, and the toolin holes and tip of trailing edge of the aileron (these should hopefully bee in line!)
I found the easuiest way to do this, and facilitate measurements of aileron movement was to clamp a long metal ruler with its edge centred on the wing tooling holes, and then shape a 6 inch lebgth of angle aluminium extrusion so that I can stick it to the aileorn reference line with double sided sticky tape.
My metal digital angle measuring device now sits onto the edge of the ruler, and the aileron reference line, allowing accurate measurement of the angle of deflection.
