No pics today, batteries in the camera are flat....bugger
So that I could properly test the fit of the top cowl, I had to remove the aluminium camloc strip to enlarge the receptical holes. After fitting the retaining rings on the camlocs, the rings made the camlocs just that little bit too large and as a result they wouild no longer lock into place.
The simplest way to enlage the holes was to remove the strip and drill out the rivets holding the recepticals in place, enlarge the holes with a unibit drill and then re-rivet the recepticals. I have now refitted the top cowl just to make sure that all is OK with it locked into place.
With this being all good, the top cowl came off again and I marked and drilled the holes in the top of the baffles at 1.5" spacing for the rubber seals to be riveted into place.
The baffles can now come off and be painted before being refitted and the rubber seals permanantly riveted on.
