Well its slow progress making the intake ramps, Dusan came over on Saturday and lent a hand, we where going to go and do some acro at Warnervale, but the Citabria was down for maintenance, so its was baffles at 10 paces instead.
We must have had the bottom cowl on and off at least a dozen times before all the trimming and bending got the ramps to a point where they actually fit the engine and cowl properly.
I am now in the process of fitting the baffles that goes around the starter ring gear, see image 3, this requires that you trim to fit the front of the engine just a little, and then you attach angles to hold the majority of it all together.
Of course the bottom cowl needs to come off again so that I can rivet the intakes and side baffles together.
Having now gotten the majority of the baffles installed I have to admit that even though the instructions are a bit vague, all in all they are not as bad as I initially thought.
