Work on the plane has been hit and miss from June 2 thru June 9, my daughter and grand daughter came in from Alabama. I did manage to drill, prime, deburr, dimple and get all flap parts ready for final riveting. I also built a jig to hold the flaps and a neat little jig for counter sinking the trailing edge wedge. I used my table saw and dadoo blades to cut a groove in a 1"X4" to hold the wedge. It worked great. The soft pine allowed the counter sinker to go down while keeping the bit from any chatter. My daughter (Jessica) got a couple of flight lessons in. She would have been able to do four or five lessons but the wind was pretty nasty. My granddaughter got to a little flight line support. I finished up every thing I can do on the wings and empennage. Waiting on a Hanger to store them and for my Fuselage kit to be ready so I can pick it up at Van's.
