Spent a bit of time removing some of the fuselage fixture and getting the tail parts in rough position for assembly.
I also continue to have many questions about details on how things are built. I decided that the Mustang 2 plans must have some of the missing gems of wisdom about things like weldment dimensions, rivet spacing, bolt types and sizes etc. As a result, I purchased a set of plans and have spent some time getting familiar with them. The Nexus appears to be very similar to much of the Mustang 2 design.....but not so similar that you could actually use any of the parts. However, it does look like it gives some of the missing dimensions on rivet spacing and some other things that I have been wondering about. This is not to knock the Nexus drawings...it is hard to get everything documented to where just anyone off the street could built one of these planes. The Mustang 2 has years of many builders pouring over and sending in corrections to each sheet of the plans. So this is just another piece of a large puzzle.
