Brief Description: Continued working seat stiffeners and bulkheads af
Continued working on the fuselage aft of the spar. The latest progress includes forming the stiffeners that will rivet to the lower portion of the skin and join the bottom skin. This is made from .040 2024-T3 bent on the brake, and then the angles are adjusted for the variation that occurs between the main and aft spar. The angle is then fluted to obtain the contour that was prescribed by the ribs. Image 1 also shows reinforcement angles on the outside of the skin that attach to the spar and the 1x1x.125 extrusion that carries load between the main and aft spars. That angle can be seen in image 2
