Brief Description: Clean-up of tail spring mount bulkheads
No that I had the tailwheel spring mount finished, I did the final drill up to size of the 3/32 to 1/8 rivets. I also built and drilled in a back-up reinforcement plate on the forward bulkhead. This was done because after drilling the rudder cable holes, I had to move some of the intercostal attach holes. This left me with a few spots that had low edge distance to holes that would be empty. To be on the safe sid, I created the backup plate. After drilling everything up to size, I deburred. I have ordered new primer, I will prime these parts and assemble outside of the fuselage. The two bulkheads assembled to the tailwheel fitting will then be installed together.
Oh, one last thing. I am using a doubled bulkhead at the aft end of the tailwheel mount weldment. The forward flange will be very hard to rivet the lower two locations. I believe I will use 1/8 cherry rivets when it comes to that.
